Laser welding is mainly used for welding thin-walled materials and precision parts. The welding process belongs to the heat conduction type, that is, the laser radiation heats the surface of the workpiece, and the surface heat diffuses to the inside through heat conduction. By controlling the width, energy, peak power and repetition frequency of the laser pulse, the workpiece is melted to form a specific molten pool. The laser welding machine consists of a laser power supply, an optical system, a cooling system and a three-dimensional workbench. It produces a pulsed laser, and the welding process is achieved by applying a high-energy pulsed laser. The laser power supply first lights up the pulsed xenon lamp for pre-combustion. Under the control of the microcontroller, the laser power supply discharges the xenon lamp pulse to form a light wave with a certain frequency and a certain pulse width. The light wave is radiated to the Nd3+∶YAG laser crystal through the ceramic reflection cavity, stimulating the Nd3+∶YAG laser crystal to emit light, and then after the laser resonant cavity resonates, it emits a pulsed laser with a wavelength of 1064nm. After transmission, beam expansion and focusing, the pulsed laser hits the object to be welded; the frequency and pulse width of the pulsed laser required for welding are controlled by the microcontroller. The power and energy of the pulsed laser can be adjusted by setting the frequency and pulse width of the laser differently.

It is widely used in welding, hole filling, spot welding of sand holes, inlay parts and welding of claw feet of gold and silver jewelry, stainless steel, titanium alloy and precision casting products.
